Apprenticeship as a Metal Technician:
Main module Mechanical Engineering Technology
Weibern - Full-time
(38.5 hours per week)
Starting September 1, 2025
Start your training as a metal technician and lay the foundation for an exciting future in a forward-looking and versatile profession!
What to expect during your apprenticeship as a Metal Technician:

Creating technical drawings according to standards

Manufacturing fixtures and spare parts

Programming and operating CNC-controlled machines

Reading and applying hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams

Disassembling, repairing, and maintaining components and machinery

Identifying and troubleshooting faults in equipment and systems

Collecting and documenting technical data
-
Producing pipe components

Gaining insight into various internal production processes, including machine operation: bending, soldering, forming

Learning about different measurement techniques
Apprenticeship and vocational school:
Apprenticeship duration: 3.5 years
Vocational school: Located in Wels
School attendance: 10-week block system with boarding included
Apprenticeship compensation: Continued during school periods
This is what your income as an apprentice looks like:
1st year: € 967.42
2nd year: € 1,126.23
3rd year: € 1,464.10
4th year: € 1,958.19
Apprentice compensation according to the collective agreement for the metalworking trade (as of January 2025)
